BIRTHDAY PRESENTOur first expernience in an escape room and we absolutely loved it! the clues were well hidden and made you think outside the box. the set up of the rooms and video enhancements were entertaining and well done. 6 of us attended and made it out of the room just in the nick of time with some help from brian who individualized our experience, SUPER GUY. we can’t wait to do it again. highly recommended. family outing of adults.
Amazing! An amazing experience. There were 5 of us. It was our first escape room and we had no idea what to expect. We were able to escape before time run out. The owner gave us very smart clues to help us go thru all the puzzles. The room was beautifully done with a lot of cool details.
Challenging and Satisfying Experience! Lots of fun!My husband and I completed the Oval-ish Office with some friends. We had a lot of fun! Loved the decor of the lobby as well as the introduction that they gave about the Escape Room experience. The puzzles were unique, challenging, and very satisfying to solve. We had a great time! The moderator did a great job of helping us keep the game moving while letting us figure things out. We’re certainly going to return sometime to try the other room!
Very challenging, very FUNI loved this place! I am quickly becoming pretty obsessed with escape rooms. The oval office VERY well designed and beautifully executed.
Must do!!!!What a great time!! We went for my sons 13th birthday and it was time ever!!! We will definitely go back!! If you get there early enough they do a tutorial of the way an escape room works.. So friendly and professional!!
One of the best Escape Rooms we’ve done! This was the fourth escape room we have done as a family and one of our favorites so far! Located in the Loop, it is close to some great restaurants and shops! We went on a stormy afternoon to the Ovalish Office and had a blast! The puzzles were challenging but not designed to be tricky, there were multiple parts to the challenge and the owner and designer of the rooms was there to offer support or clues if needed without giving away too much! Perfect for families with teens! We won our challenge and kinda saved the world! NBD :)

This was such an amazing experience. I’ve done a couple escape rooms across Missouri, but this one definitely takes the cake. The room was complex, but fun and solvable. We went as a family and it was one of the most memorable experiences we have had for a birthday. Brian, the owner, put it over the top. He made the experience even more enjoyable. It felt like he was there the whole time helping you through challenges and made it an amazing time. Definitely check out this place. We did the Oval Office room and will for sure come back for the other room.
Got a groupon for four of us to do an escape room. We did the pirate room, which was so fun! I love that the owner, Brian, walks you through example puzzles in a trial room before you start. Also I won’t lie, it was helpful to get hints through the TV screen when we were stuck! Thank you for an awesome experience! Can’t wait to go back and try the oval office!
If you are a fan of escape room, this is a MUST TRY! The owner Brian is so nice and helpful, he will provide instruction if you are new to the game. We played Oval office, the room is well designed and beautifully decorated, the puzzles are really creative and challenging. It’s truly a suprise. Would come back to try the other room.
I have been to a number of escape rooms, and the Oval-ish Office room was as well-planned, beautifully constructed, and challenging as any I have seen. As soon as you enter the room, you are instantly transported away from Saint Louis to Washington, D.C. The attention to detail is quite impressive. In addition, the room incorporates a great deal of complex electrical and technological puzzles which are both interesting and impressive. Make sure you bring a team of at least four, its nearly impossible to escape otherwise. Great thing to do with a bachelor party or before dinner in the Loop. Apart from the escape room itself, Red Herring’s location gives off a cool industrial-steampunk sort of vibe. Brian, the owner, is extremely friendly and has indicated that he plans on opening three more rooms in the near future. Get here to try out the first two rooms as soon as you can. When the word gets out, this place is going to be packed. I can’t wait to come back and try the other room.
FUN!! This was our first escape room experience, and the bar is now set very high. The challenge was interesting, creative, made your think and work together. The time FLEW by. Five of us worked together - don’t even think of doing this with less than 4 folks— Red Herring will put you together with others to make a viable team.A cool space and experience. Several more rooms are in planning, including a team experience, where two rooms are the same, and you compete against another team in another room. In a cool neighborhood, too, on Delmar in UCity, lots of restaurants choices before and after the escape room.
